Club 10K Handicap: David Does it!

Roadhoggs 10K Handicap Winner: David Cabaniuk

New member David Cabaniuk triumphed in a thrilling duel with last year's runner up, John McDonald, winning by just 3 seconds. John had the consolation of recording the evening's fastest time, a highly impressive 39.41 over a difficult course.

Perfect Peter

Peter produced a positively perfect PB performance (37.41) to grab 9th in the Rothley 10K. Simon recorded an excellent 52nd in 41.43, Baz was 131st in 45.32, and Fazila made her comeback with 371st in 58.09. All this on a course which is widely regarded as "long". Rothley 10K Results

Sixteen 'hot hoggs' survived the challenge of the Hinckley Half Marathon. Peter, Simon and Trudy all defied the conditions, recording excellent results in the sweltering conditions. Read the full report.

Burn up at Silverstone

(East Midlands) Grand Prix racers Rob (40.52) and Dave (40.51) scorched to PBs in the Silverstone 10K. Jon (45.09) and Angela (45.27) also avoided spinning into the gravel-trap in the 25th running of this popular race.

London Marathon: Rob Grabs Another PB

Rob Milstead smashed his PB for the second time in a matter of weeks, slicing off nearly 7 minutes, stopping the clock at 3.19.54. It looks like Baz (last seen wearing a dress on 'hat night'!) got caught up in heavy traffic at the start but he came good to cross the line in 3.47.04.

Despite the howling wind, 'PB Machine' Ceri did it again. Craig, Rob and Nick scorched round and Mark recorded his highest finish of the season. Read the full report.

Charnwood Hills: Plucky Debutants Join the Fun!

Experienced multi-terrain racers Baz and Chris Peach were joined by new members Nick Cobley and Fazila Hajat for the annual fell fest. Nick and 'Fuzzy' braved blustery conditions and the usual mud to complete their longest ever competitive runs.

An unhelpfully humid morning derailed John's latest attempt to break 4 hours at the Shakespeare Marathon. He added 4.08.42 to his catalogue of near misses.

Chris beats 4 hours



Congratulations to Chris Peach, who smashed the 4 hour barrier for the Marathon. He recorded an excellent 3.48.47 in the Cambridge Boundary Run 26.2 (a multi-terrain Marathon), finishing 30th.
